Usual June
Fight monsters, talk to ghosts, and get to the bottom of a mystery threatening to obliterate an entire city in Usual June, a third-person action-adventure game about combat, cupcakes, and community.
It was supposed to be a quiet summer break hanging around campus and catching up on laundry. Instead, crystal creatures are invading the cemetery, ghosts are vanishing, and the new billionaire in town is a real piece of work. Plus the job fair sucks. Something is going down in Fen Harbor, and it’s up to June and her friends, dead and alive, to figure out what. But a storm is gathering on the horizon, and an army of creatures from another world stands between June and the answers. Can June get it together in time to save her grades, her friends, and her city?
DYNAMIC THIRD-PERSON COMBAT
June’s basic melee weapon combos and quick dodge are easy to learn and very effective, but some of these bosses are massive. That’s where dashing, super moves, dodge cancels and parries come in. Since successful dodges refill June’s super meter, and her armor recharges during the fight, she can back off and play it safe, or push forward and keep the intensity high. As June earns XP and levels up, she gains access to new projectiles, defenses, summons, and traps. But her new powers come with a cost…
THESE GHOSTS JUST WILL NOT SHUT UP
The dead can talk - a lot. It’s a good thing too, because neither the living nor the dead can save this city on their own. Now that June can see and talk to ghosts, everything is different. With the photographic memories of the dead, and the living’s ability to touch stuff, they can finally figure out what happened to Fen Harbor AND do something about it. But time is running out, and ghosts are disappearing fast.
GETTING IT TOGETHER
June only has two semesters to go, but her grades are slipping and it’s getting harder to be on time. Chill summer hangs keep turning into heavy convos about “the future”, and she still hasn’t recovered from last summer’s tragedy. Her friends want to stay in Fen Harbor like they planned, but the places June grew up with keep going out of business or moving away. And her biggest reason to stay is gone forever…
THE GATHERING STORM
The clouds are getting darker, and the fate of Fen Harbor is on June’s shoulders. But that doesn’t mean she has to carry it alone!s equal parts terrifying, funny, and sweet.
